Vekara-Varkaus
Children's Summer Festival 14 to 20 June 2010

During the Vekara-Varkaus week, Warkaus Hall will be ringing with the singing of children and the clatter of little dancing shoes. In the park they are making somersault and scarecrows. Little people will be wandering on the streets of Varkaus from one event to the next. In dozens of workshops they can make and learn things. The fantasy workshops offer adventures amidst fairy tales, science and art. The Lasten LukuVarkaus children´s literature award will be presented and the Vekarakummi 2010 children´s favorite will offer his/her own workshop. Versality, low prices and the children´s own perspective will be the organisers´guidelines.

The event will offer plenty of opportunities to involve the whole family, such as the Adventure Island and the Leafy Man park concert.
